September 1, 2017 - September 2, 2017
Memorial Day Event to Honor Lauren Landavazo
This Labor Day weekend, Castaway Cove is honoring the life of a local teen who loved to visit the waterpark. Saturday, September 2, the regional waterpark will celebrate the life of Lauren Landavazo on the one-year anniversary of her untimely death with discount admission. Guest donations will go to P.E.T.S, a low cost spay and neuter clinic in Wichita Falls.
“Our guests are our family and we know how much Lauren enjoyed visiting and riding Cliffhanger with her family and friends,” said General Manager Steve Vaughn. “We want to show our support and invite the community to do the same.”
To celebrate Lauren’s life, admission to the waterpark Saturday, September 2 will be $10.99 plus tax. Guests will have the opportunity to share supportive and encouraging words with the family on a giant card as well as enjoy all of the park’s waterslides and attractions. Lauren’s family and friends will be at the waterpark collecting donations for P.E.T.S. as Lauren was an animal lover.
Castaway Cove Waterpark is now open weekends through September 3 and for special events like Labor Day Monday, September 4 and Dog Days of Summer, Saturday, September 9.
